SSD Blog Hop- "It's A Small World After All"!

 The theme for this month's hop is "It's a Small World After All".  Lindsey has created 6 beautiful images depicting various countries around the world- the USA, Great Britain, Australia, Mexico, Russia, and Canada- and, as usual, there will be a challenge for you to enter. The challenge will be to create a card using a Sassy Studio Designs image showcasing something about your favorite country- it could be the country you live in, the country your ancestors came from, or a country that you have visited and fell in love with. You will have one week to complete your card and enter by using InLinkz to upload your card to the Sassy Studio Designs Blog. The winner will get ALL 6 of the new images!

Blog Candy Beauty!!

I recently won a blog candy on Denise Hahn's blog In My Blue Room.  Denise is a designer for Graphic 45.  I was SO excited to win the prize...and it's definitely worth the wait!  It is BEAUTIFUL!!!  She made a necklace using G45's A Ladies Diary paper and May Arts ribbons...take a look at this!

First of all, Denise had it wrapped in a beautiful presentation box which she made and she sent a beautiful card along with it:

It was hard to open it up because it was so beautifully done, but I just couldn't wait any longer to see my "prize"!  This is what I found when I opened the box:

She used ribbon to tie the necklace to the box to keep it flat.  Oh, my, this is even more beautiful than I thought it would be!!

Here's a close up of the...not sure what to call it...charm? brooch?...whatever it's called, it is gorgeous!

I think this is the best blog candy that I've ever won!!!  Now to find the perfect outfit to wear with this beautiful necklace!!  Thank you SO much, Denise, for offering such a prize!!!

Fabulous Freebie Friday- Magazine Margie

It's Friday!  And that means there is another Fabulous Freebie on the Sassy Studio Designs' Papercraft Planet group page!  This week's theme is "Summer Reading" and the fabulous freebie being offered is Magazine Margie.  The challenge for this image is to create a bookmark.  I struggled with making a bookmark, but I was running out of time, so here is my simple  bookmark made this if fabulous freebie!!

Sassy in the City- Carrie!

I'm a little late getting my card done...we had a horrendous storm blow through here Friday night.  Although we were one of the few lucky ones who did not lose power (or water!), I was having Internet issues on and off all weekend.
This is the final image in the Sassy in the City progressive relay on the Sassy Studio Designs blog. Of course, we saved Carrie for the end!!  The "theme" was New York-Paris, so, here is my card for the 4th and final round.
