Design D.I.V.A.S. Oldies But Goodies Blog Hop!

Hello!! Happy Wednesday and welcome to the Design D.I.V.A.S. "Oldies But Goodies" Blog Hop! We had a very small group today however you KNOW that their projects will be fabulous!!!! I am the first stop on your journey today!

Each month, we are to create a project using stamping items that are at least 6 months old and feeling neglected. Well, that really isn't hard for me! I have a whole stamp room of neglected items! While rummaging around, I found an image that I had stamped and colored a LONG time ago- probably over a year ago!! So, I decided to use that, along with some patterned paper that I "won" in a blog candy forever ago...and this is what I came up with:

The image is from Bombshell Stamps' Horsing Around western stamp set. Isn't she cute?? Here's a close-up of that cute face and that adorable pig!

I hope you've enjoyed my creation today. Your next stop is Sue's Sentiments. Sue NEVER disappoints!! I know you'll LOVE what she has to share! Just in case you lose your way, here is the short but complete blog hop list:

Oldies But Goodies Blog Hop!

It's time for another Design D.I.V.A.S. "Oldies But Goodies" Blog Hop! You should have arrived here from Dru's Garden of Dreams. If not, go on over to Carolyn's blog to start at the beginning!

Our challenge is to use stamps, embellishments or other stamping "stuff" that is at least 6 months old. My card uses things that are WELL over 6 months old!! I found a spool of checked ribbon in a Michael's bag with the receipt still in the bag...dated 2009! Then I found my Razzleberry ink pad which was still in the cellophane wrapper just like I got it from my SU demo! What's it been? 2 years since Razzleberry was an In-Color? So, there you go...those are my oldies but goodies items that I used on this card:

I wanted to make a clean and simple card. I love the way they look, but I think I still need practice on the whole concept!

Now head on over to Debbie's blog- the last stop of you Oldies But Goodies adventure!

Stamp set: Come to Bethlehem (Stampin' Up)
Paper: Whisper White
Ink: Rich Razzleberry
Accessories: checked ribbon (Dots, Dashes, and Checks from Michael's), stick-on clear rhinestones, pop dots

Oldies But Goodies Blog Hop

If you came here from the multi-talented Cindy's blog for the Design D.I.V.A.S. Oldies But Goodies Blog Hop, you're in the right place, however, I don't have a card to share with you, and this is the reason why:

I broke a tooth and had to have a temporary crown put on yesterday. Now if you know me, I do NOT like the dentist...I've never had any sort of dental work done other than cleanings and a couple teeny tiny little fillings...and I do love my dentist- she's great, however I panicked when I heard I needed a crown. I had planned on making my OBG card after work on Tuesday but since I spent a good portion of the evening at the dentist, it just didn't happen. I apologize.

So, as not to mess up the blog hop order, I will now send you on your merry way to the fabulous Vicki's blog. I know she'll have something wonderful for you to see!!

OMG- It's Time for Another OBG Blog Hop!!!

** If you are here for the Bombshell Blog Hop, please click here **

Hello, and welcome to the Design D.I.V.A.S. Oldies But Goodies blog hop!!! Our challenge each month is to create a card or project using items that are at least 6-months old. Well, for me, that is NOT a problem!! I seem to "collect" stamps, papers, and embellishments instead of using them. You should have arrived here from Melissa's blog. If you didn't, then head on over to Vicki's blog to start the hop. You don't want to miss a single thing!!!

So, here is my Oldies But Goodies card:

Isn't that image the cutest thing?? The image is Baby Got Back #3224 from Hambo Stamps. I've had it for what seems like forever...and it's been colored for almost that long! I found it in a stack of scraps and thought it would be perfect for this blog hop. The sentiment is Little Behind #4204, also by Hambo Stamps, and this sentiment fits me to a tee...well, my behind is far from "little" but I feel like I'm always behind on things... :) I think it'll make a fun belated birthday card.

Now hop on over to Cindy's blog to see what she's created...

...and after you've finished the OBG Blog Hop, come on back and do the Bombshell Stamps' Hump Day Hop...just scroll down to the next post...it's a Bombshell Wedding!

OBG Blog Hop Time!!!

Welcome to my Hide-away! It's time for another Designing D.I.V.A.S. "Oldies But Goodies" blog hop! Hopefully you arrived here from Cindy's blog, but if you didn't, that's okay, you can still catch up by going to Melissa's blog to start the hop! You wouldn't want to miss anything!!!

The D.I.V.A.S. were to create a project using stamps and accessories that are at least 6-months old. Well, this is not a hard thing for me to do since I have SO many stamps that have never seen ink and tons of packages of designer paper sitting unopened. Today, I decided to use one of my Bombshell Stamps' sets, Homeward Bound, that's been waiting to be used. I love this ship image. The designer paper is much older than 6-months. Yes, I AM a paper hoarder! :) I also used one of my Nestabilities that I've had and not used. Sometimes I think I'm a "collector" and not a "stamper"!

Now, sail on over to the next stop on our hop and visit Maria's blog to see what she's offering up.

Stamps: Homeward Bound (Bombshell Stamps), Linen background stamp (Stampin' Up!- retired)
Ink: Tuxedo Black (Memento), Creamy Caramel (Stampin' Up!)
Cardstock: Chocolate Chip, Crumb Cake (Stampin' Up!), GP110 white
Patterned Paper: Stampin' Up!
Accessories: Nestabilities (Lacy Squares), Cuttlebug, Copic Markers, 1/16" hole punch, antiqued copper brads, pop dots

This card was submitted for the following challenges:

Stamping Vacation Challenge - What A Guy Challenge- Boating Theme
Card Ideas - Yummy Color Challenge- Use Chocolate, Caramel, and one other color
One Stitch At A Time -Challenge #54- Something For the Boys
The SisterHood of Crafters- Let's Hear it For the Boys!

What's Up Wednesday- OBG Blog Hop!

Welcome!! It's time once again for the Design D.I.V.A.S. Oldies But Goodies blog hop. First of all, in case you don't know, Design D.I.V.A.S. is a group of very talented ladies who come together to share friendship and their love of papercrafting. D.I.V.A.S. is short for Divine, Inspirational, Virtuous, Artistic (or annointed) Sistahs. There are actually 2 different Design D.I.V.A.S. groups- the original group on Splitcoast Stampers, and then the second group on Facebook. I'm in the Facebook group. Okay, on to why you're really here...

You should have arrived here from **Maria's blog**. If you didn't, go back to **Brenda's blog** to start at the beginning of the hop. You really DON'T want to miss anything!

The Oldies But Goodies blog hop (every 3rd Wednesday of the month) was created to challenge the D.I.V.A.S. to use "old" stamps and accessories that we've had for more than 6 months. Well, I have LOTS of stamps and accessories WAY older than 6 months that need some love, so this challenge is never a problem for me! :) Here's my card:

This image, the Thomas Point Shoal Lighthouse, is from PSX. I bought it probably 6 or 7 years ago from Michael's- maybe more, but had never put it to ink. I love lighthouses, especially the Thomas Point lighthouse, since this one is in Maryland. As I was rummaging through a drawer, I found this stamp and decided this was the one I would use for this month's challenge. I stamped the image onto GP110 white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I love how crisply the image stamps! I layered the image panel onto Basic Black and then Cherry Cobbler. The card base is also Cherry Cobbler and the patterned paper is from the Majestic Blue series from Close To My Heart. I pierced around the top edges and then using the Word Window punch and punching from Cherry Cobbler, I added the strips to each side of the image, attaching with antiqued copper brads. The image is popped up using dimensionals. I love how this turned out and think I will use it for one of my guy's birthdays this year.

Now, "hop" on over to **Melissa's blog** for the next stop on your journey!

What's Up? Design D.I.V.A.S. OBG Blog Hop!

I was lucky enough to be invited to join the Design D.I.V.A.S. group on Facebook. We are 75 of THE most talented stampers and I am honored to be among such talent! The group has decided that on the 3rd Wednesday of the month, we will have a blog hop. I love blog hops and this one should be lots of fun- 36 blogs to check out! You should have arrived here from Gina Lindsay's blog. If you didn't, start here so you don't miss anything exciting!!!

The theme is "Oldies But Goodies". If you're like me, I buy stamps, papers, and embellishments, and then many sit unused. For this swap, we are to create a project- a card, a 3-D item, a scrapbook layout, etc.- using stamping supplies that are at least 6-months old. I have so many stamps that have never seen ink, packs of designer paper that are unopened, and a plethora of ribbon that could use some love...and that made it really hard for me to decide which unloved items to use! But, after much deliberation, here is what I came up with:

I bought this stamp set, Sew Pretty, from Gina K, a long time ago...I had never used it for a card, even though I love it. I also bought the "Nook and Pantry" patterned paper from Basic Grey, nearly a year ago. I admit, I'm a paper hoarder. I buy pretty paper and then can't seem to bring myself to cut into it! This card is 5-1/4" square. Cardstock used: SU's Blushing Bride, Chocolate Chip, and Very Vanilla. Patterned paper: Basic Grey's Nook and Pantry. Ink: Memento Tuxedo Black. Embellishments: Light green Dew Drops, yellow flower from Petaloo, green satin ribbon from Offray, Chocolate Chip grosgrain ribbon from SU. Accessories: SU's medium and scalloped oval punches, pop dots, Copic markers- E47, RV02, G31, E21, ZOTS glue dots, Alene's Jewel-It glue.

Thanks for stopping by! I hope that you've enjoyed my "Oldies But Goodies" card. Your next stop on the hop is Sandy H.'s blog. Wait till you see what she has in store for you!
