All That Shimmers and Shines

Today, Sassy Studio Designs is sponsoring Love To Create .  The challenge is "All That Shimmers and Shines".  I recently attended a shoebox swap with my wonderful stamping group The Meade Girls and I won a door prize- a pack of glitter cardstock from Stampin' Up.  When I saw the challenge, I knew I HAD to use this paper!!!!  I found the sentiment online and thought it would be perfect for this card:

It was hard to get a picture of it without glare, but these didn't turn out too badly.

I wanted to color the dress to look like fire and wanted to use my Prisma pencils, which I am not very good at using.  I've had them a long time...and, well...it's a long story!  Anyway, I went to Michael's yesterday in search of a Prisma blending pencil to use on this image, and, of course, they didn't have any.  Come to the rescue my dear, sweet friend, Gloria!  She had several "extras" so she dropped one off to me today.  THANK YOU, Gloria!  I owe you- again!  :)

Now, anyone who knows me knows that I am "glitterphobic".  I love the way glitter looks, but I just hate how it gets all over everything...including ME!  I used Stickles on the bottom of her dress...I love Stickles!  Now, the Stampin' Up glitter paper- well, FYI...the glitter DOES come off!!  Not terribly, but enough to nearly freak me out!!

I hope you enjoyed my card and that you'll come back again soon!!
