G45 November Contest Entry

Graphic 45 papers have become my absolute FAVORITE!!  Their November 2012 contest is to create a thank you card using G45 products.  I have had a pack of A Ladies Diary paper that I've been hoarding.  I really HATE to cut into my new papers, but I just got a new image from Sassy Studio Designs that I had to use with these papers!  The image is called My Fair Lady.

Here's a close-up:

I got my sentiment a little crooked, but oh, well...nothing I can do about it now!  I know I probably won't win the contest but I sure had fun making this card!!  Check out Sassy Studio Designs' images HERE.

Afternoon Tea

This past Saturday I went to "tea" with some fabulous ladies.  My friend, Gloria, treated us to afternoon tea at Moulin de Paris.  I had never been to a formal tea before and was very excited to go.  We had a fabulous time...so many different flavors and types of tea, delicious sandwiches, mini desserts and other finger foods.  What a great way to spend an afternoon!!  To thank Gloria, I made her this card using Graphic 45's A Ladies Diary paper.  I hope she likes it!

Here, I added some old hat pins that I found in my stash.

I entered this card into The Sisterhood of Crafters Challenge to create a card using no stamps.

Papers:  Basic Black (Stampin' Up), A Ladies Diary (Graphics 45)
Accessories:  pop dots, stick on pearls (Zva Creations), old hat pins from my stash

Blog Candy Beauty!!

I recently won a blog candy on Denise Hahn's blog In My Blue Room.  Denise is a designer for Graphic 45.  I was SO excited to win the prize...and it's definitely worth the wait!  It is BEAUTIFUL!!!  She made a necklace using G45's A Ladies Diary paper and May Arts ribbons...take a look at this!

First of all, Denise had it wrapped in a beautiful presentation box which she made and she sent a beautiful card along with it:

It was hard to open it up because it was so beautifully done, but I just couldn't wait any longer to see my "prize"!  This is what I found when I opened the box:

She used ribbon to tie the necklace to the box to keep it flat.  Oh, my, this is even more beautiful than I thought it would be!!

Here's a close up of the...not sure what to call it...charm? brooch?...whatever it's called, it is gorgeous!

Here are some close ups of the additional decorations she used on this necklace and of the ribbons she used.

I think this is the best blog candy that I've ever won!!!  Now to find the perfect outfit to wear with this beautiful necklace!!  Thank you SO much, Denise, for offering such a prize!!!

Please stop by Denise's blog to see what other beautiful items she's created...and keep an eye on my new favorite  blog Graphic 45, too!
