Black-Eyed Susan Thank Yous

This past week was a crazy one for me at school...the craziness included kindergarten registration. Thankfully I had several wonderful parent/grandparent volunteers who offered to help with registration to help ease my craziness. I wanted to send them thank yous for helping me out. I found a wonderful Black-Eyed Susan thank you image online through the Operation Write Home blog and since we live in Maryland, I thought it would be perfect to use. Here's the first card that I made using this image:

I really like this card. I used SU's Real Red, Summer Sun cardstocks and Newsprint DSP. The image was printed onto GP110 white cardstock and colored using Copic Markers. The red satin ribbon is from the Offray ribbon outlet.

I made this second card using the same image but I'm not liking it quite as much:

I used the same technique and color cardstocks, but embossed the Summer Sun layer using the square lattice embossing folder in my Cuttlebug. The ribbon, again, is from the Offray ribbon outlet.

I hope the ladies will enjoy their cards as much as I enjoyed having their help!

Thanks for looking!
