Welcome to "Sing Your Art Out" sponsored by Hambo Stamps! Today Hambo friends, customers, and the Bacon Bits Design Team are bringing you fun creations that depict song titles! It might be a favorite song, or just one that was fun to design. If you arrived here from Paula's blog you are in the right place! If not, you might want to start back at the beginning at the Hambo blog to make sure you are eligible for the hopper prize! You sure don't want to miss anything!!
A prize will be awarded to one participant whose song-themed creation tickles the Bacon Bits’ fancy in a singin' wingin' way! Another prize will be awarded randomly to a hopper who comments on all the blogs along the hop. The winners will be announced on the Hoedown blog, as well as on the Hambo company blog, Talk to the Ham, on Wednesday, September 21.
I had a really hard time deciding on a song for my card, but I finally decided on Surfin' Safari by the Beach Boys. It's a song that can take me back to the beach even in the middle of winter. I remembered I had an image that I had gotten in an image swap called Surfer Pig and thought he'd be perfect for my song-inspired card. Here he is:
Early in the morning well be startin' out
some honeys will be coming along.
We're loading up our Woody
with our boards inside
And headin' out singing our song.
Come on baby wait and see
Yes, I'm gonna take you surfin' with me.
Come along pretty baby wait and see
Yes, I'm gonna take you surfin' with me.
Lets go surfin' now
Everybody's learning how
Come on and safari with me
(come on and safari with me...)
Yep- now you've got that song stuck in your head!! :)
Now hop on over to Jenn's blog for another great sing-along song! If you get lost along the way, remember you can go back to the Hambo blog to pick up where you left off!

ReplyDeleteOh, I needed this today since it's FREEZING here! Had to turn the heat on, get the heated mattress pad out and add two blankets. Geez.....can I jump into your card scene and feel that warm sun? (Which, btw, is ADORABLE with that button!)
ReplyDeleteGrowing up, we had an 8-track (ha!) of the Beach Boys' greatest hits, and of course this song was on it. My parents made the mistake of bringing it along on a road-trip, and us three kids sang every word of every song, even the percussion too! To this day, my mom will roll her eyes and say "Help Me Rhonda!" LOL Thanks for your fun card that brings back warm memories! :)
