Well, today was a MUCH better stamping day for me!! I decided to play a little more with my Bombshell Stamps. They're such fun to stamp with!!
This first card I call "Island Bombshell". The images are from the Bombshell Queen stamp set. The base card is ColorMates Red. The patterned paper is Island Sunset from A2Z. I used SU Basic Black for the border color and GP110 white CS for the image. The image is stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics (W1, E00, YR16, R37). I used Memento Tuxedo Black to sponge lightly around the main image. I used the 1-1/4" hole punch to punch out some flowers from the patterned paper and adhered them to black circles that were punched using the 1-3/8" hole punch. I stamped the small flower image from the set and colored and cut them out and adhered to the top of the patterned paper circles. See? The flowers match the flower in her hair! :) They're attached with pop dots. I like this card- probably because these are colors that I don't usually use.
This next card is made using Bombshell's Ahoy, Sailor stamp set. I love this image and I love the way it colors. The base card is SU's Real Red. I used Brilliant Blue for the next layer, embossing it in my Cuttlebut with the D'Vine Swirls embossing folder. The image is stamped in Memento Tuxedo Black onto GP110 and colored with Copics (W3, R37, B97, Y06, W1, E00, E29). I used SU's Pretty In Pink and a cotton swab to lightly dab on her cheeks to give her some blush. The yellow star eyelets are from Making Memories. Can I say now that I HATE Making Memories eyelets??? They seem so hard and I always have trouble getting them to set correctly. This time I used my Crop-a-dile and still had trouble...Anyway, I'm happy with this card, too.
My last card of the day (so far) uses Bombshell's Pirate Life and Holiday Accessories stamp sets. I decided I'd try to make a Christmas card. All papers are SU, except the white which is GP110. The image and sentiment are stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copics (R37, E00, YG06, B93, RV02, R59, W1, YR16, BG15, 100) and sponged around the edges using SU Real Red. I stamped the packages and colored them, then cut them out and adhered using pop dots. Oh, and her Santa hat is stamped, colored and adhered to her head using mono-adhesvie. It's simple, but fun.
Yes, today was a MUCH more enjoyable stamping day...hopefully I'll get to stamp a little more later today.
