It's a beautiful but hot day here in Maryland, so I decided to go up to my hide-away, turn on the A/C and make a card for my senior friend, Miss Laura. I decided to try something a little different for me- these definitely aren't my usual colors. When I started making it, I just knew that it would turn out awful, but as I went, I started to kinda like it. What do you think?
The card base is one of SU's retired In-Colors from a couple of years ago- Cool Caribbean, with last year's In Color Riding Hood Red. The 2-sided patterned paper is Pretty Please Pink Floral from My Mind's Eye. The image and sentiment are from a set called Garden Faire by My Sentiments Exactly and are stamped in Riding Hood Red. The white and black flowers are from Irene's Garden and the clear self-stick gems are from Bazzill. The organdy ribbon tied in a bow and adhered using a glue dot is from Michael's.
While I was at it, I also made a challenge card for the stamping group that I'm in called The Meade Girls. More to come about that later in the week...so check back- you don't want to miss it! :)

ReplyDeleteIt certainly was hot in MD today. :) Love your card, the colors look great together. I also like the way you sponged the sentiment, mine always looks so sloppy when I do it. TFS
