For this week's Tuesday Throwdown, Kim challenged the team to create a card using the emboss resist technique. If you've never used this technique, it's really pretty easy. First of all, here is the card that I created for this challenge. I'm really quite happy with how she turned out, since I don't emboss much...
To create the emboss resist panel, I started with a 3-3/4" x 5" piece of white glossy paper. Using a Versamark (or Embossing) pad, I stamped the flower image from the Gracie set onto the white glossy paper, sprinkled with white embossing powder and then embossed using a heat gun. Once cool, I used a sponge to dab on Green Galore, Pixie Pink and Eggplant Envy ink. The ink will not stick to the white embossing. That's all there is to it!
The cardstock used is Pixie Pink, Eggplant Envy and Green Galore. "Gracie" is stamped onto GP110 white cardstock using Memento Tuxedo Black ink and colored with Copic markers. Isn't she just the cutest little thing?
Make sure to check out Sherrod Studio's blog to see the other design team member's creations. Now, it's YOUR turn!! Create YOUR emboss resist card and link it to the thread found here using Mr. Linky. We can't wait to see what you come up with!!
