Stampin' up a storm!

I was home alone today so thought I'd take advantage of it. While I was catching up on laundry from the cruise, I decided to stamp a little...afterall, I have to wait for the clothes to get out of the dryer before I can put a new load in, so I didn't want to 'waste' time waiting around! ;)

The first card is made using an image I received in an image swap on SCS. The image is "Daisy" from Sugar Nellies. She's just so sweet. The Thinking of You is from Sherrod Studio's Gracie set. All papers are SU (not sure what the white CS is since I didn't stamp the image). Daisy is colored using Copics. Embellishments include Prima Flowers, Glitter Adornments by My Favorite Things and black organdy ribbon from Michael's. This is a simple card but I think it turned out nice.
My second card of the day is made using Bombshell Stamps' Bombshell Angel. Boy wish I were built like that! Again, all papers are SU- Riding Hood red, Certainly Celery, Basic Black and Bella Rosa DSP- except for the white which is GP110. The image is stamped using Memento Tuxedo Black and colored with Copics. I sponged around the edges using Riding Hood Red. The Bella Rosa panel is embossed in the Cuttlebug using the Dotted Swiss embossing folder. I used Prima Flowers and Glitter Adornments from My Favorite Things on this card as well, along with self-stick red half-beads. I love this card!
My last card of the day (so far!) is a Get Well card for Ricky. Ricky is the son of a teacher at my school. Ricky had surgery on June 14th and, due to complications, is still in the hospital. His mom hasn't left his side the entire time that he's been there. We decided at school to do a card shower for Ricky. I think he'll really enjoy getting lots of "happy mail"! This card also used an image from the image swap. This image is from Whipper Snapper. All papers are SU except for the white which is GP110. I colored the image using my Copics and then doodled around the edge using my SU Basic Black marker (fine-tip end). This is such a sweet image. Ribbons are from Michael's. I attached self-stick red half-beads to each corner and popped the image up on dimensionals. I hope Ricky likes it and I hope he's home from the hospital soon!! Now I think I'll need to make his mom a 'hang in there" type card...
Okay, guess I'd better get back to the laundry and maybe do some cleaning...well, maybe not... :) I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable 4th of July!!

  1. Love your laundry story-my craft room is part of the laundry room, so I use that reasoning a lot! I am off today too and spending most of it crafting. You've got me beat so far though! I love the top card with the yellow flowers that is my favorite image from Sugar Nellie. Hope your friend's son is better soon. I am sure that card will cheer him up.

  2. I do not do the laundry. I only have to fold the laundry and iron and that hasn't even been done.
Your cards are beautiful. Hope Ricky will be able to go home soon. It's not fun staying at the hospital.

  8. Was not sure how to contact you. I saw a picture today of a "gum holder" designed by you. It was holding a box of trident gum and used the word window punch by stampin up. I would love to have the directions for this. Can you sent me the directions or a link for this? I thought it might by on Splitcoast but could not find it. Please let me know if it is available. Thanks.

  11. You have been busy! I like how you kept the layout of the first card so simple to really showoff the pretty image. The image on the second card is so fun and you paired it with terrific paper. The third card is adorable with the striped paper and mouse.
