If you're as old as I am, you'll remember The Partridge Family TV show (::sigh:: David Cassidy!) Anyway, I found this scrapbook paper at my LSS- Create IT Crafts- and thought it was cute, so I bought it. Then I noticed this set in the new SU catalog and I had a Partridge Family flashback and I was 12 again! :) So, I went ahead and ordered it. Yesterday, the Meade Girls got together for a triple birthday bash at a local pizza place and my "dealer"...I mean demo...Tracy, brought me my order so I couldn't wait to see how this set looked with the paper. Well, it's not an exact match, but it'll do...so, here's the card that I made this morning using that paper and the Happy Together stamp set...
The cardstock is all SU- Taken with Teal, Old Olive and Very Vanilla. The patterned paper is Green Woodland Birds by DCWV, Inc. The Old Olive panel was embossed using the Forest Branches embossing folder in my Cuttlebug. The ribbon is SU Old Olive thin twill and the brads are Fresh Paint Embellishments from Marvella by K & Co. The images are stamped using SU's Chocolate Chip ink and colored with SU Markers- Old Olive, Taken with Teal and Barely Banana. The image is sponged with Creamy Caramel ink. Mother Partridge is punched out using the 1-1/4" circle punch and layered on a 1-3/8" circle of Old Olive and then layered on a scallop cut from Taken with Teal. The sentiment Happy Together is stamped in Chocolate Chip and punched out using the Word Window Punch. So much for my travels back in time...now back to the real world!
I've been busy making cards for Sherrod Studio's upcoming sneak peek and blog hop starting on Monday. I hope you stop back in again to see all the fun cards I've been making!! (It's SO hard to keep a secret!!!)

ReplyDeleteAbsolutely love the message! My husband took delivery of his 2010 Chevy Camaro in June. There's another woman in his life now. Her name is Betty, and she has four wheels. He really will love that car until death does them part!
